The Pallais chair
The Pallais chair is named for "Lally's Pallais", the affectionate name for Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall. The chair is made of ash that grew by the Clyde at Langbank. The tree was taken down and one hundred and fifty trees planted in its place. The back of the chair commemorates the 200th anniversary of the death of Mozart and represents the first five bars of "Eine kleine nacht musik". The seat is the belly of a double bass.
